011 PEPPER WITH SALT

PEPPER WITH SALT contains a stainless steel grater, a natural oak wood desk stand and aromatic long peppers from the Indonesian island of Java + a Himalayan salt rock. All items are delivered in an attractive cardboard gift tube.

Java long pepper has its own distinctive character, but the familiar taste of traditional black pepper is also present. When seasoning your dish with grated long pepper, you will detect unexpected aromas of licorice, aniseed, and cinnamon, with a spicy sensation towards the end. Think of it as regular black pepper with a twist. Together with the grater in stainless steel and the stand in natural oak they become a cherished design piece that quickly turns into a conversation piece around the dining room table.

Himalayan rock salt originates from northern Pakistan, an area called the “Salt Range”, not far from the Himalayas. It is a natural rock salt that was created when the prehistoric seas evaporated some 250 million years ago. The actual salt rocks vary in colour from pure white to beautiful light pink and dramatic deep red, all depending on the iron oxide content. Flavour: Highly flavoured with long-lasting spicy heat over a mild mineral body. Ideal for: seasoning meat and fish, as well as vegetables.
